Synopsis

A watercolor by Pamela Colman Smith, best known as the artist behind the iconic Rider-Waite tarot deck; Arthur Edward Waite met Smith through the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. In addition, she illustrated several books, including the first edition of Bram Stoker’s The Lair of the White Worm, and produced body of watercolor paintings that were promoted in New York by Alfred Stieglitz. Many of these were drawn form visions that would come to her as she was listening to music.
