  1. Another Dark Fantasy Deck, and A Good One This item isn’t a toy, as others have said. Why they are listed as such is a puzzle. The deck has a dark fantasy theme, with each suit having a sub-theme unique to it, but sharing certain graphic design elements, like the blood spatter(!) each card has on the face.Every face card has a gothic pictorial design, but every card has a more or less complex design worth studying. Skulls figure large. Court cards are of Dark Fantasy subjects – vampires, demons and the like.[EDIT]The face-card artwork is actually taken from another deck, the Alchemy Arcana deck, which features pictures on every card but lacks the other graphic design elements of the Alchemy 1977 England deck such as the blood spatter and which doesn’t include a card case(!). Check them out here -> The cards are thinner than regular Bicycle Rider back cards, I estimate about one third thinner, which makes shuffling easy at the cost of a little robustness. There are a couple of gaff cards for performing simple card illusions with the deck included, along with a spare card that can sub for a joker or any missing card in a pinch.I plan on using the deck as an adjunct to the Savage Worlds roleplaying game, for which they will be an excellent atmosphere-booster (cards are dealt to decide the order in which people may act in certain circumstances).Highly recommended.

  2. An Alchemist’s first choice Great deck with higher quality then the standard Bicycle deck and slightly more durable. I’m not exactly sure what finish is used but either normal air cushion or possibly maybe UV-500 air flow finish yet I doubt that. They handle very well and act as good flourish deck. Bes thing is, is that unlike most decks that are limited edition and only come with a few select special artwork this deck has different art for each individual card even cards 2-10. The Royal court cards to tell you the truth aren’t as good as the lower rank cards because they just have a picture pasted on and I enjoy more traditional court cards. The deck is very gothic and is suppose to be styled after goth tattoo art. I highly recommend this as you trick/flourish deck and for collectors.

  3. Magic in the cards I am a magician. Over the many years that I have used playing cards for magic tricks I have always prefered Bicycle cards. They are high quality playing cards and stand up to the sometimes rough use that a sleight of hand card manipulator can put them through. The deck of Alchemy 1977 England playing cards is fantastic. The art on each card is stunning. I will be proud to use this deck in my close-up magic routine. I am looking forward to the reactions of my audience to these unusual cards. Even for non magicians these cards will bring delighted comments from any game players. I felt confident in buying these cards through Amazon. The product was delivered quickly and in good condition. Thanks Amazon. Dan the magic man d;-)
